Vanguard Dividend Tracker

Automatically sync your Vanguard account with REWD — every dividend, every ex-div date, every yield-on-cost across all your holdings. Free plan includes calculators and stock research; automatic Vanguard sync starts at $9.99/mo.

Why use REWD with Vanguard?

Vanguard is the spiritual home of low-cost, buy-and-hold dividend investing. VYM, VIG, VTI, and BND are among the most-held tickers in REWD users' portfolios. Vanguard's own dividend reports are solid but don't surface forward income or multi-broker aggregation.

REWD connects to your Vanguard Brokerage Account and pulls dividend activity including mutual fund distributions (VTSAX, VFIAX, etc). Forward income projections use each holding's 5-year growth rate. Vanguard mutual-fund-only accounts require a Brokerage Account conversion for sync.

How the sync works

REWD syncs Vanguard Brokerage accounts via SnapTrade. Legacy Vanguard mutual-fund-only accounts must first be converted to Brokerage Accounts (free, one-time) to enable syncing.

Supported account types

  • Individual Brokerage
  • Joint Brokerage
  • Traditional IRA
  • Roth IRA
  • Rollover IRA
  • SEP IRA

Vanguard-specific gotchas to know

  • Mutual fund distributions (VTSAX annual, VFIAX quarterly) are tracked alongside ETF dividends — REWD classifies both as dividend income.
  • Vanguard 529 Plans and Variable Annuities are not supported by SnapTrade; only the Brokerage Account side syncs.
  • Vanguard's Admiral share classes (VTSAX) have 10x higher minimums than ETF equivalents (VTI); REWD treats both identically.

How does REWD sync with Vanguard?

REWD syncs Vanguard Brokerage accounts via SnapTrade. Legacy Vanguard mutual-fund-only accounts must first be converted to Brokerage Accounts (free, one-time) to enable syncing.

Does REWD have access to my Vanguard login?

No. REWD uses a read-only OAuth token issued by Vanguard through SnapTrade (SOC 2 Type II certified). Your Vanguard username and password never touch REWD's systems. You can revoke REWD's access anytime from your Account page.

Which Vanguard account types sync?

REWD supports: Individual Brokerage, Joint Brokerage, Traditional IRA, Roth IRA, Rollover IRA, SEP IRA. If you have multiple Vanguard accounts, each appears as a separate portfolio in REWD and can also be aggregated into a combined view.

How often does Vanguard data update in REWD?

Automatic sync runs once daily on paid plans, plus REWD listens for webhook events from Vanguard when a new dividend is paid. You can also trigger a manual sync anytime (rate limit: 4 manual syncs per user per day).

Does REWD support Vanguard DRIP?

Yes. REWD reflects your existing DRIP elections at Vanguard — if a position is set to DRIP on Vanguard's side, REWD's projections treat it as reinvested. If it's set to cash payout, REWD projects the cash income.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. REWD's free plan includes unlimited holdings, the full calculator library, stock research on 2,500+ tickers, and manual portfolio tracking. Automatic Vanguard sync is a paid feature ($9.99/mo Base or $19.99/mo Unlimited). Annual plans save ~17%.
