Editorial Guidelines & Data Standards
Retire Early with Dividends (REWD) publishes dividend-investing guides, calculators, and stock research. Because this is financial content, we hold it to clear standards for sourcing, accuracy, and transparency. This page explains how our content and data are produced and maintained.
Who produces this content
Articles, calculators, and data pages are produced by the REWD Editorial Team — the people who build and maintain the platform. Guides are written to be practical and data-driven rather than promotional, and every tool is something we use ourselves to plan toward financial independence.
How we research and write
- Guides are grounded in widely accepted dividend-investing concepts (yield, payout ratio, dividend growth, total return) and illustrated with our own calculators so you can reproduce the math.
- Stock and ETF figures shown in articles are examples drawn from our dividend dataset at the time of writing and will change over time.
- We avoid hype, price predictions, and “guaranteed” returns. Where a strategy carries risk (for example, high-yield traps), we say so.
Data sources and accuracy
Our stock, ETF, and dividend data is aggregated from public market-data sources and dividend histories, and refreshed on a regular schedule. Figures such as price, dividend yield, payout ratio, and ex-dividend dates can be delayed and may differ from your brokerage. Dividend yields are calculated from the trailing annual dividend and current price; values that are clearly erroneous are filtered out rather than displayed.
Always verify figures with a primary source (the company's investor relations page or your broker) before making a decision.
Keeping content current
Data pages update automatically as new market data arrives. Guides display a published date and, when meaningfully revised, an updated date. We periodically review evergreen articles to keep figures, examples, and links accurate.
Transparency and independence
REWD's calculators, screeners, and research pages are free; paid plans add automatic brokerage sync. Our editorial recommendations are not influenced by that subscription, and our competitor comparisons aim to be factual and fair, including where a competitor is the better choice.
